“Goldilocks and the Three Bears” (originally titled “The Story of the Three Bears”) is a British 19th-century fairy tale of which three versions exist. The original version of the tale tells of a badly-behaved old woman who enters the forest home of three bachelor bears whilst they are away. She sits in their chairs, eats some of their porridge, and sleeps in one of their beds. When the bears return and discover her, she wakes up, jumps out of the window, and is never seen again. The second version replaced the old woman with a little girl named Goldilocks, and the third and by far best-known version replaced the original bear trio with Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear (who is not actually an infant, but rather a small cub).
There are many coloring page themes and subjects to choose from but nothing tops cowboy coloring pages! Boys love cowboys and little girls love them too. Children have been playing cowboys and Indians since the beginning of time. Or how about shoot em' up? What about a game of "pow, pow, pow"? It doesn't matter what you call it. It's all about being a cowboy. And for every kid who pretends to be a cowboy, you'll find a lot of hooting and hollering, running around, play toy guns and rifles, rope, and who knows what else. Your child's imagination is wide open, creative, and bound by nothing. And that's the beauty of a child. The theme: Coloring books generally have a theme of sorts. It might be that they are based on a Disney movie, or it is about animals, or vehicles, or something else. When selecting books for your children, remember that they will want to express their creativity, and will have a lot of fun with any coloring book, but will be more interested in a coloring booklet with a theme that appeals to them. Choose a color book that features their favorite characters, or the item of interest in their life. For example, if your little boy just loves trains, get a Thomas the Train coloring book. If your little girl is as girly as they come, look for the Disney Princess coloring book, or possibly Strawberry Shortcake. On the front, write: "I'm ready! I welcome to all my buddies! Share and enjoy my birthday with greater amusement and enjoyment!" Coloring Away Your Stress and Anxiety:Rather than a fad, the surge in interest for adult coloring is more like a realization of how beneficial and enjoyable this hobby can be for adults across the board. For years, researchers have uncovered the benefits of art related enterprises as they relate to therapy for distressed and anxious individuals. Similarly, and more related to the stressed and overworked individual today, coloring an intricate design or an inspirational message can act as a soothing and therapeutic release for the individual partaking in the activity.
