I grew up during the time of doodle art - remember those? You got a pack of felt markers and elaborate black line drawings on a number of themes. I would spend hours coloring these in! Little did I know then that coloring pages were a benefit to my well-being. There are many coloring page themes and subjects to choose from but nothing tops cowboy coloring pages! Boys love cowboys and little girls love them too. Children have been playing cowboys and Indians since the beginning of time. Or how about shoot em' up? What about a game of "pow, pow, pow"? It doesn't matter what you call it. It's all about being a cowboy. And for every kid who pretends to be a cowboy, you'll find a lot of hooting and hollering, running around, play toy guns and rifles, rope, and who knows what else. Your child's imagination is wide open, creative, and bound by nothing. And that's the beauty of a child. Coloring pages help a child to develop better fine motor skills as well as hand eye coordination. You might wonder if colouring inside the lines is important, yet you will soon realise that it is when you see your children use the same skills when playing sport. Creativity is your children's greatest achievements particularly when coloring online. Children gradually start to create their own images, style and color online. Children will often find numerous ways to be creative both on and offline. Experience and creativity is education and learning for everyone. If children are creative they will likely be open to new ideas and educational experiences.

Hagiography records other names he is said to have borne. Tírechán’s seventh-century Collectanea gives: “Magonus, that is, famous; Succetus, that is, god of war; Patricius, that is, father of the citizens; Cothirthiacus, because he served four houses of druids. ” “Magonus” appears in the ninth century Historia Brittonum as Maun, descending from British *Magunos, meaning “servant-lad”. “Succetus”, which also appears in Muirchú moccu Machtheni’s seventh century Life as Sochet, is identified by Mac Neill as “a word of British origin meaning swineherd”. Cothirthiacus also appears as Cothraige in the 8th century biographical poem known as Fiacc’s Hymn and a variety of other spellings elsewhere, and is taken to represent a Primitive Irish *Qatrikias, although this is disputed. Harvey argues that Cothraige “has the form of a classic Old Irish tribal (and therefore place-) name”, noting that Ail Coithrigi is a name for the Rock of Cashel, and the place-names Cothrugu and Catrige are attested in Counties Antrim and Carlow.

The net, activity booklets in dollar stores, family restaurants, or even sometimes at public libraries are sources of coloring pages, simple black and white drawings most commonly of cute cartoon characters. Hee Hawww! Yahoo! Giddy Up! What kid hasn't imagined themselves King (or Queen) of the rodeo? Can't you picture it? A western landscape...hot and dusty...sunny and smokey. And who arises from this scene? None other than the fastest-firing-gunslinger in all the west! This kid epitomizes what a cowboy should be. Decked out like the cowboys of cowboys in a: vest and tie, cowboy boots, rodeo jeans covered by chaps, gun and holster, with the coolest cowboy hat to complete the look. Now that's a cowboy! And that's just what your kids are imagining...that they are REAL cowboys and cowgirls! The lowly printable coloring page is really a chance to show kids a lot of things about the world and best of all you can find coloring pages on just about every theme and idea and they are often free to print out. Printable coloring pages even work well in a pinch. If you have a bunch of kids over and only one unused coloring book left, it's easy enough to go online and print out as many copies of coloring pages as you need. There are educational dinosaur coloring pages to learn dinosaur facts or learn the alphabet. What color do you think a Triceratops was? What about Parasaurolophus? Paleontologists are still learning what color dinosaurs really were so you can make them whatever color you like!
